The Buffalo Bills had three players who did not take the field on Wednesday.

Fred Jackson has already been ruled out with his groin injury. He hopes to return after the bye week, but his recovery may take up to one month. Marquise Goodwin was held out with his hamstring injury. Goodwin is a weapon when he's on the field, but he's had issues staying healthy with the Bills. Ty Powell was also held out of practice on Wednesday with an ankle injury. The reserve linebacker is a good special teams contributor.

Returning to practice in a limited capacity was Marcus Easley. He isn't likely to see the field much on offense when he returns, but Easley is one of Buffalo's best special teams players. Safety Aaron Williams was also limited on Wednesday. He re-aggravated this injury in Week 7 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Brandon Spikes continues to show up on Buffalo's injury report with a rib injury, but he was a full participant on Wednesday. Two new additions to the injury report were WR Sammy Watkins and DE Mario Williams. Both had a full practice, but Watkins is apparently working through a groin injury. As for Mario Williams, he's listed with a thumb injury. You never want to see key contributors on a team's injury report, but these three players all seem fine. That said, they'll also benefit from a Week 9 bye.
