Bills Add TE MarQueis Gray on Waivers

The Buffalo Bills claimed MarQueis Gray on waivers. He was released by the Minnesota Vikings to make room for Ben Tate.

The Buffalo Bills made a roster move on Thursday.

Buffalo were awarded TE MarQueis Gray on waivers from the Minnesota Vikings. Minnesota released Gray after adding RB Ben Tate to their roster.

Buffalo's tight end position hasn't performed well this season between Scott Chandler, Chris Gragg and Lee Smith. The trio has caught 33 passes for 349 yards and three touchdowns. Gray, a former quarterback at the University of Minnesota, appeared in 12 games with the Cleveland Browns last season and eight games with the Vikings in 2014. He has three receptions for 24 yards in his career.

To make room for Gray, the Bills released running back Phillip Tanner.
