Frank Summers Released by the Bills

Frank Summers saw his role with the Bills being phased out. He's been inactive since Week 12 and was released on Tuesday. Summers' release opened a roster spot for C.J. Spiller.

The Buffalo Bills have released fullback Frank Summers

Summers was signed by the Bills on April 18, 2013. The fullback started 15 games in the last two seasons with the Bills. In this time, he had 18 carries for 63 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught 12 passes for 88 yards and one touchdown.

Summers had been inactive since Buffalo's Week 12 matchup with the Jets. Releasing Summers makes a roster spot available for C.J. Spiller.
