The Buffalo Bills season ends today, but speculation about an organizational shakeup is just beginning. Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that the Bills could hire Brian Ayrault in some front office role. From Florio’s report:
“It’s currently believed in some league circles that the Bills will hire Ayrault for a key front-office position. Ayrault, NFL agent and long-time friend of new Bills owner Terry Pegula, could be placed in charge of contract negotiations or, potentially, the entire football operations.”
Jim Overdorf currently handles contract negotiations as the Senior Vice President of Football Administration. He’s considered a part of the “old guard” as he’s been with the team since 1986. The Pegulas may want to bring in their own people to handle negotiations. Even if Overdorf stays, Ayrault could get another role with the team.
Ayrault has been a family friend of the Pegulas for over two decades, so adding him to the Bills front office would not be a surprise.
