Doug Marrone Has 3 Day Escape Clause

It's unlikely that Doug Marrone leaves the Buffalo Bills, but he has an escape clause in his contract. He has three days to make a decision.

Could Doug Marrone leave the Buffalo Bills? He has the option to, but it's unlikely.

Marrone has a three day escape clause in his contract according to Pro Football Talk. It was a stipulation based upon the team changing ownership. This season, the Pegulas, Terry and Kim, became the second owners of the team. The franchise is obviously safe long-term in Buffalo but the option still exists.

Recently, there was a rumor that Michigan was interested in Marrone. He laughed the rumor off and said, "You're stuck with me, fortunately or unfortunately." That certainly doesn't sound like a man who plans on leaving the Bills.
