The Latest on the Bills Head Coaching Search

Buffalo has requested interviews with Adam Gase and Frank Reich, both offensive coordinators. That said, Jim Schwartz, Rex Ryan and Dan Quinn may all be on Buffalo's coaching radar.

The Buffalo Bills are interviewing Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase on Saturday. The team has now requested an interview with another AFC West offensive coordinator, Frank Reich. Currently the offensive coordinator of the San Diego Chargers, Reich was on the Bills roster from 1985-1994. Ian Rapoport was the first to report the interview request

Tim Graham of The Buffalo News added that Jim Schwartz is considered a candidate for Buffalo's head coaching position and that Buffalo has interest in talking with former New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan. No official interview has been set up with Ryan as of this writing. Schwartz, currently Buffalo's defensive coordinator, did a fantastic job with the Bills this season. The team was a top five unit in many statistical categories under Schwartz in 2014. The Ryan news is intriguing as former Bills head coach, Doug Marrone, is supposedly the top candidate to coach the New York Jets. A Ryan-Marrone swap would certainly add fire to the AFC East rivalry between the Bills and Jets.

Last, Joe Buscaglia, a Bills beat reporter for WGR550, suggests that Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn could also receive an interview with Buffalo.

UPDATE: Joe Buscaglia's suggestion of Seattle Seahawks DC Dan Quinn getting an interview with the Bills has come to fruition. Adam Schefter named Quinn among others this afternoon in a list of candidates the Bills will interview.

"Bills have requested HC interviews with Seahawks OC Darrell Bevell, Broncos OC Adam Gase, Patriots OC Josh McDaniels, Seahawks DC Dan Quinn."

Bevell and McDaniels are new additions to Buffalo's head coaching search.

The Bills should leave no stone unturned as they look to find their next head coach and it appears that the team is ready to interview some of the top candidates out on the market.
