Watkins Named Pepsi ROY Candidate

NFL.com announced their five finalists for the Pepsi Rookie of the Year award on Tuesday.

Sammy Watkins has been named a finalist for the Pepsi Rookie of the Year award.

The Buffalo Bills wide receiver won the Pepsi Rookie of the Week award three times during the 2014 season (Week 2, Week 7, Week 8). In his rookie season, Watkins caught 62 passes for 982 yards and six touchdowns. He set rookie records for the Bills in receptions and yards.

The other four finalists for the award include Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater, Bengals RB Jeremy Hill, Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. and Buccaneers WR Mike Evans. It's a bit surprising that no defensive players were named finalists for the award.

You can vote for Watkins or any of the candidates over at NFL.com.
