Rex Ryan to Interview with Bills on Thursday

For the last six years, the Bills have dealt with Rex Ryan as coach of the New York Jets. It's possible that Ryan could be on Buffalo's sideline in 2015.

Rex Ryan and the Buffalo Bills are very familiar with one another from his time with the New York Jets. On Thursday, Ryan will become the latest coach to interview for Buffalo's head coaching vacancy. Sal Maiorana of the Democrat & Chronicle was the first to report Buffalo's interest in meeting with Ryan.

Ryan went 7-5 head-to-head against the Bills as head coach of Jets. At one point, Ryan's squad defeated Buffalo in six consecutive games. The Bills had Ryan's number towards the end of his run with New York. In their last five matchups, the Bills went 4-1 and outscored the Jets 166 to 76.

On the coaching market, Ryan is one of the biggest names available. He's met with the Falcons and 49ers. It was reported today that Ryan will get a second interview with Atlanta when they name their finalists. If Ryan chooses not to coach in 2015, CBS and ESPN have reached out to Ryan about television work.

The Bills are putting their best foot forward as they search for their next head coach.
