Dareus and Easley Named to PFF All-Pro Team

Pro Football Focus named two Buffalo Bills to their All-Pro Team: Marcell Dareus and Marcus Easley.

Pro Football Focus has named two Buffalo Bills to their All-Pro Team. Marcell Dareus and Marcus Easley were both honored by the analytics site for their play in 2014.

Dareus was named as the site's first-team defensive interior option at nose. Khaled Elsayed, the author of the All-Pro article, had the following to say on Dareus:

"Dareus remains a freakishly talented linemen, capable of beating blockers with speed or power and able to line up in a variety of spots. His sack number was eye-catching, but his work in the run game meant Giants breakout linemen Johnathan Hankins was stuck in the second team."

Dareus finished fourth among all defensive tackles (+25.6) on the site and was first in run defense with a +20.7 rating.

Marcus Easley was recognized for his outstanding play as a special teams gunner. Gordon McGuinness handled the All-Pro Special Teams piece and noted that Easley and Matt Slater of the New England Patriots were the best gunners in the league.

"Normally the first men down the field on a punt, the gunners are trying to make a tackle and, more importantly, ensure the return doesn't get outside of them. Easley and Slater proved to be tough matchups for anyone in hold up duty throughout the year, with Slater earning a new contract in the process."

Easley had a +4.6 rating as a gunner this season. Buffalo's gunner will be a free agent at the end of the season.
