Bills' Wheatley A Lock for Michigan RBs Coach

Tyrone Wheatley, Buffalo's current RBs coach, is "a lock" to take the same position with the Michigan Wolverines according to a Michigan radio personality.

The Buffalo Bills are still searching for a head coach. Whenever that vacancy gets filled, it appears the new head coach will have to hire a running backs coach. Tyrone Wheatley, Buffalo's current running backs coach, is a "lock" to take the same position with the Michigan Wolverines according to John U. Bacon, a Michigan radio personality.

"Not exactly breaking news, but inside sources say UM's Jim Harbaugh hiring Ty Wheatley to coach RBs is a lock. Staff almost complete."

Wheatley has spent the last two seasons as Buffalo's running backs coach. Before joining the Bills, Wheatley was the running backs coach at Syracuse under Doug Marrone

Wheatley attended Michigan from 1991-1994. During his time with the Wolverines, Wheatley rushed for 4,178 yards and 47 touchdowns.
