Bills to Make Rex Ryan Their Next Head Coach

The Buffalo Bills have found their next head coach in Rex Ryan. Ryan will be signing a five-year deal with the Bills.

The Buffalo Bills have an agreement in place to make Rex Ryan their next head coach according to Adam Schefter.

"Filed to ESPN: Bills putting finishing touches on deal that will make Rex Ryan their next HC, per sources. More on Sunday NFL Countdown."

The popular rumor floating around the NFL was that Ryan would bring Marc Trestman with him as his offensive coordinator. It appears that is not the case, according to Schefter, as Greg Roman, the 49ers OC, will be coming along with Rex.

"The offensive coordinator Rex Ryan is most likely to bring with him to Buffalo is 49ers OC Greg Roman, per source."

Buffalo put a full-court press on Ryan last night and it appears their effort worked.

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News was first to report the rumored contract numbers for Ryan.

"Rex Ryan's five-year deal with the Bills will be for $27.5 million, per source."

Mehta also added that Ryan wants to bring most of his defensive staff into Buffalo with him.

"Rex Ryan wants to bring the majority of his defensive staff with him to Buffalo, including defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman."

This may not bode well for Jim Schwartz who did a phenomenal job with Buffalo's defense in 2014. Stick with us at Buffalo Football Report as we bring you the latest on Buffalo's newest head coach.
