Williams and Dareus Make PFWA's All-NFL Team

Mario Williams and Marcell Dareus continue to be recognized for their strong play in 2014.

Mario Williams and Marcell Dareus continue to be recognized for their tremendous play in 2014. Today, the Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA) named Williams and Dareus to their All-NFL Team. This comes a little more than one week after the duo were named AP All-Pros. 

Williams finished his 2014 season with 14.5 sacks, a career high. He had 42 total tackles on the season, two forced fumbles and 37 quarterback hurries. Since joining the Buffalo Bills, Williams has 38 sacks in 48 games.

Marcell Dareus also set a new career high in sacks in 2014 with 10. He finished the season with 48 total tackles, one forced fumble and 19 quarterback hurries. Dareus was outstanding in terms of getting after the quarterback in 2014, but he was even better at stopping the run. The defensive tackle had Pro Football Focus' highest run defense rating (Subscription Required) among all DT/NT with a +20.7. 

In addition to Mario Williams and Dareus, Kyle Williams was also recognized by the PFWA. Kyle Williams was named to the All-AFC Team by the football writers. He had 42 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, one interception. Among all DT/NT, Kyle Williams had PFF's second highest pass rush rating (+19.0).
