Bills Release LB Keith Rivers

The Keith Rivers era is over. After starting three games at weakside linebacker over the first six weeks of the season, Rivers was phased out of Buffalo's defense. The move frees up close to two million dollars in cap space.

The Buffalo Bills have released linebacker Keith Rivers

Rivers signed with the Bills as a free agent last season and started the season at weakside linebacker. After three starts early in the season, Rivers was phased out of the defense. He played a total of 192 snaps in 2014 and from Week 7 to the end of the year, Rivers only saw 33 defensive snaps. 

The move frees up $1.7 million in cap space.
