The Bills hope to Re-sign Marcus Easley

Marcus Easley has become one of the best gunners in the NFL. For that reason, the Buffalo Bills hope to re-sign the special teams standout.

Buffalo Bills GM Doug Whaley is a straight shooter. Based on his comments today, it seems as though C.J. Spiller, Brandon Spikes and Da'Norris Searcy are all unlikely to return to the Bills. One free agent who the team wants to re-sign? Marcus Easley.

When asked about the special teams standout, Whaley had the following to say:

"We'd like to get him back. That's another thing that (Senior VP of Football Administration) Jim Overdorf is going to work on this week," said Bills GM Doug Whaley. "He's a hell of a special teams player and we're excited and we hopefully can get him back."

Easley never developed into the wide receiver the Bills hoped for when they drafted him in the fourth round (107 overall) of the 2010 NFL draft, but he's become one of the best gunners in the NFL. Pro Football Focus named Easley to their All-Pro Special Teams roster for his special teams play this season.
