Bills Will Not Tender RFA Chris Hairston

It was already pretty clear that the Seattle Seahawks won their trade with the Bills for Marshawn Lynch. It became official on Friday when the Bills announced that they would not tender OT Chris Hairston. Hairston and Tank Carder became the players the Bills selected with Seattle's draft picks.

The Buffalo Bills need help along their offensive line, but have decided against tendering one of their own players. Chris Hairston, a restricted free agent, will not be back with the Bills in 2015.

Hairston saw a total of 38 snaps in 2014. He couldn't get on the field despite the team having a seventh round rookie starting at right tackle. Hairston missed the entire 2013 season after being placed in the Reserve/Non-football Injury list and started 15 games over the course of his first two seasons.

Hairston was selected in Round 4 of the 2011 NFL draft. The pick was part of the package the Bills received from the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for running back Marshawn Lynch. Those picks turned out to be Hairston and Tank Carder. It's safe to say that Seattle won that trade in a landslide.
