Bills Sign Kyle Williams to 1-Year Extension

Kyle Williams is one of the best defensive linemen in the NFL. Today, the Bills signed Williams to an extension that will keep him in Buffalo through 2017.

The Buffalo Bills signed DT Kyle Williams to a one-year extension on Wednesday. Williams is now sined through 2017. It's his fourth contract with the team.

Williams' one-year extension is worth $10.5 million. According to Vic Carucci of The Buffalo News, the extension will drop Williams' cap hit in 2015. It currently sits at $6.4 million.

Extending Williams through 2017 is a good move on it's own as the defensive tackle is one of the best in the NFL. However, Buffalo and Williams worked out the extension to free up some extra money for the contract they're preparing for H-Back Charles Clay. Buffalo needs to front-load Clay's contract as much as possible to keep the Dolphins from matching the deal.
