QB Taylor Took Less Money to Sign with Bills

Tyrod Taylor was offered more money by the Denver Broncos in free agency but chose Buffalo. The opportunity to become a starting quarterback was significantly higher with the Bills.

Tyrod Taylor wants to be a starting quarterback in the NFL and decided that his odds were probably better competing against E.J. Manuel and Matt Cassel rather than Peyton Manning. No one can question Taylor’s intelligence after this decision.

Mike Rodak of ESPN reported that the Denver Broncos offered Taylor more money than the Buffalo Bills, but he decided to join Buffalo for the opportunity. If Taylor makes the most of his opportunity and wins the job, he’ll be paid handsomely. Rodak also reported that Taylor can make up to $7 million in the next two seasons if he ends up being Buffalo’s starting quarterback.

After Taylor signed with the Bills, the quarterback stated that there would be a quarterback competition in Buffalo and that no quarterback was further ahead than another currently. Buffalo is going to give Taylor an opportunity to win the quarterback job. The rest is up to him.
