Report: EJ Manuel May Not Make Bills Roster

A report from Joe Buscaglia states that EJ Manuel has to show significant improvement this off-season or he may not make Buffalo's 53-man roster.

E.J. Manuel's time in Buffalo could be coming to an end this summer according to a report.

Joe Buscaglia of WKBW-TV reported that Manuel is at risk of not making the Buffalo Bills' 53-man roster. Buscaglia stated that Manuel will have to show "serious progress" at OTAs, mini-camp and training camp.

Manuel finds himself in an interesting situation as it could be an all or nothing scenario in Buffalo. The quarterback may be at risk of not making the roster, but he also has a shot of winning the starting quarterback position. As it stands, the Bills currently have veteran Matt Cassel and Tyrod Taylor competing with Manuel for the starting job.

In his two year career, Manuel has started 14 games with the Bills. He has a 58.8 percent completion rate in the NFL and a 16-to-12 TD-to-INT ratio. During his limited time as starter, Manuel has dealt with injuries, accuracy issues and an inability to take risks down the field.

The Manuel story is something to keep an eye on throughout the summer. Manuel has a clean slate with Rex Ryan and Greg Roman, but he may have to be the best quarterback on the field to remain with the Bills.
