Kyle Williams No. 72 on NFL's Top 100 Players

Kyle Williams is one of the most respected members of the Buffalo Bills. On Wednesday night, his peers named him as one of the NFL's Top 100 Players of 2015.

On Wednesday night, Kyle Williams was named to the NFL Network’s Top 100 Players of 2015. Williams came in at No. 72. Last season, Williams made his first appearance on the list and was ranked No. 32.

In 2014, Kyle Williams had 41 tackles, 5.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss, three passes defensed and his first career interception. He was named to the Pro Bowl for the fourth time in his career this season.

Williams played a large role on a defense that finished as the No. 4 overall defense in the league. Last season, the Buffalo Bills finished first in sacks (54) and third down percentage (33.18) as well as third in yards per play (4.86), fourth in points per game (18.1) and fifth in first downs per game (18.9).

This isn’t the first time that Williams has been recognized for his high level of play this offseason. Williams was recently came in at No. 75 on Pro Football Focus’ Top 101 Players of 2014.

PFF listed Williams as the second best pass rushing defensive tackle/nose tackle in the league last season, while finishing tied for seventh overall. In addition to his 5.5 sacks, Williams had 29 quarterback hurries, 12 quarterback hits and 27 stops. He also finished tied for first at his position in terms of pass rush productivity.

Based on everything Williams accomplished last year, it’s no surprise that his peers in the league see him as one of the Top 100 Players of 2015.
