Schwartz Working as NFL Consultant

Jim Schwartz will be working as a consultant for the NFL in 2015. In 2014, the Buffalo Bills' defense finished No. 4 in the league with Schwartz as their defensive coordinator.

Jim Schwartz coached a Buffalo Bills defense that finished No. 4 in the NFL last season, but his contract was terminated following the signing of Rex Ryan as head coach. Despite a lot of interest, Schwartz didn't sign with any NFL team this offseason, but that doesn't mean that he won't work with the league in 2015.

On Monday, Alex Marvez of FOX Sports reported that Schwartz will be working as a consultant with the NFL's officiating department. His job? To provide a coach's perspective in regards to some of the decisions the officiating office makes during the season. According to Marvez, Schwartz will begin his job with the league on Tuesday.

Perhaps Schwartz can start by recommending that the NFL not call unsportsmanlike conduct penalties on Jerry Hughes for slapping the helmet of a teammate
