Bills QB Tyrod Taylor: 'May the Best Man Win'

Tyrod Taylor discussed what brought him to Buffalo, his OTA performance, the quarterback competition and more on SiriusXM NFL Radio on Wednesday. Read his response on why he joined the Bills and listen to the full audio below.

Tyrod Taylor was interviewed on SiriusXM NFL Radio on Wednesday. The Buffalo Bills quarterback was asked about the conversation that brought Taylor to Buffalo and how the team was very upfront with all of the quarterbacks.

"Absolutely. Like you said, that was exactly how the conversation started. Then it was the new coaching situation. None of these coaches have worked with any of the quarterbacks previously or anybody on the team for that matter. So I just felt like this the best opportunity for me to come compete and earn a starting job. I looked at the teams across the league and kind of weighed out the options and I thought this was the best fit for me and I'm excited to be a part of this team, I'm excited to work with the coaches that we have, and we have a talented group, so it's all going to come down to the quarterback play and I'm excited for the challenge and looking forward to the competition."

Taylor was also asked to evaluate his play at OTAs and what it will take for him to win the job at training camp. As for when a starting quarterback will be named, Taylor said that Rex Ryan told the quarterbacks that a decision wouldn't be made until training camp.

Taylor ended the interview by simply stating, "May the best man win."
