Hughes to Donate $15K Annually to Texas HS

Jerry Hughes' friend and former teammate at TCU recently took over as head coach at Fort Worth North Side High School. Hughes wants to help his former friend and the program with an annual donation.

The talk in Texas yesterday was mostly about DeAndre Jordan backing out of his verbal commitment to the Dallas Mavericks. Quietly, Jerry Hughes of the Buffalo Bills was doing something great for the Fort Worth North Side football program.

Ryan Osborne of the Star-Telegram reported that Hughes will donate $15,000 annually to the program. The Fort Worth North Side football program is coached by Joseph Turner, Hughes’ former teammate at TCU. According to the article, this year’s donation will go towards weight room equipment, practice equipment and game day attire.
