Mario Williams activated off NFI list

The Buffalo Bills placed Mario Williams on the non-football injury list on Thursday. One day later, he was activated off of the list.

Well that didn’t take long.

On Friday, Mario Williams was activated off the non-football injury list. Williams was placed on the NFI list on Thursday but his injury was apparently very minor. Williams is currently on the field as the Buffalo Bills take part in their first training camp practice.

Williams is coming off of a season in which he had 42 combined tackles, a career-high 14.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. Pro Football Focus also credited Williams with 37 quarterback hurries, seven quarterback hits and 36 defensive stops. Williams could be in for an even bigger season in 2015, thanks to Rex Ryan’s aggressive defense.
