Bills place Powell and Wynn on IR, sign RB

Ty Powell and Jarius Wynn were both officially added to the team's injured reserve list on Tuesday.

Two Buffalo Bills players were officially added to the injured reserve on Tuesday.

Jarius Wynn and Ty Powell both suffered ACL injuries. Wynn’s injury came on Friday when Buffalo took on the Carolina Panthers in their first preseason contest. Yesterday, Powell suffered his ACL injury during a joint practice with the Cleveland Browns.

Both players were key reserves for the Bills.

Yesterday, the Bills agreed to terms with linebacker Quentin Groves on a one-year deal following a workout. Today, the signing was made official. The team also signed running back Ricky Seale on Tuesday and waived DL Erik Williams.

In his career at Stanford, Seale had 53 career carries for 171 yards and a touchdown.

Buffalo has had issues keeping their running backs healthy. Fred Jackson, Boobie Dixon, Karlos Williams and Bryce Brown did not take part in Monday’s practice which left the team with LeSean McCoy, Bronson Hill and Marcus Thigpen.
