LeSean McCoy on Week 1 status: 'We'll see'

Will LeSean McCoy be ready to play in Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts? We'll see, apparently.

Roster cuts aren’t finalized yet but it appears that the Buffalo Bills will be carrying LeSean McCoy, Karlos Williams, Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown at running back. Buffalo hasn’t been shy about wanting to be a run-first offense with McCoy as their workhorse back. The only problem is that McCoy has been dealing with a hamstring injury and his status is unknown going into Week 1. Today, McCoy said the following about his chances of starting against the Indianapolis Colts.

‘We’ll see’ doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. Perhaps McCoy is intentionally being vague about his status and he’ll be good to go in Week 1. If he’s not, the Bills will need another back to step up in his place. Among the trio behind McCoy, Brown is the only back that is currently healthy. That said, Williams is expected to be ready to play and he may be the best option among the backs.
