Fred Jackson thanks Bills fan

Fred Jackson saw a sign thanking him for his time in Buffalo. The running back ended up thanking the family personally.

Fred Jackson was one of the most popular players on the Buffalo Bills before his release on Monday. The running back was invited to Bills training camp in 2006 and stayed with the team until this past week. Over his time in Buffalo, Jackson rushed for 5,646 yards and 30 touchdowns on 1,279 carries (4.4 YPC). Jackson also added 2,640 yards receiving in career with the Bills.

Even though Jackson is no longer a part of Buffalo’s roster, the running back still appreciates his fans in Buffalo. Jacquie Walker of WIVB-TV in Buffalo shared a picture of Jackson with a Bills fan:

The story behind the picture? A Hamburg family posted a ‘Thank You, Fred’ sign in their yard and the former Bills running back just happened to see the sign. Jackson could have drove along, but instead he decided to stop and let the family know that he appreciated the sign. It was a very classy gesture by the running back.

Jackson recently agreed to a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks.
