Buffalo Bills claim OL Gabe Ikard

Some information on the newest Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Gabe Ikard.

On Sunday, the Buffalo Bills picked up one player off of waivers: Gabe Ikard. He was waived by the Tennessee Titans on Saturday. The offensive center/guard stands in at 6’4” and 304 pounds. Ikard’s agent was the first to report the news.

Ikard played his college football at Oklahoma. During his career with the Sooners, Ikard started 50 games (32 center, 18 left guard). He was a freshman All-American in 2010 and First Team All-Big 12 from 2011-2013. In his final season in 2013, Ikard was also named a First Team AP All-American. At the 2014 NFL combine, Ikard produced the best 20-yard shuttle time (4.37) and three-cone time (7.30) among all offensive linemen.

Ikard spent the entire 2014 season on the injured reserve after suffering an ACL injury during the preseason. Ikard had a +0.9 grade this preseason at Pro Football Focus.

Buffalo’s offensive line needed depth and that’s exactly what Ikard provides the Bills. The team’s roster now sits at 52 players.
