The Buffalo Bills addressed their running back depth on Tuesday by signing RB Dan 'Boom' Herron

The Buffalo Bills signed running back Dan 'Boom' Herron on Tuesday to address their sudden thin depth at the running back position.

On Tuesday, GM Doug Whaley announced that Karlos Williams suffered a concussion against the NY Giants. It's unknown at this time how long Williams will be out of action. In addition to losing Williams, Buffalo's No. 1 RB LeSean McCoy is dealing with a hamstring injury.

Herron has spent three seasons in the NFL. The former Ohio State Buckeye spent his first season with the Cincinnati Bengals and the last two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, Herron saw limited carries in his first two seasons, rushing for 38 yards on nine carries, but he finally saw some opportunities with the Colts in 2014.

Last season, Herron carried the ball 78 times for 351 yards (4.5 YPC) and a touchdown. He started three games for the Colts and added 173 yards on 21 receptions during the season. In Buffalo, Herron finds himself joining Anthony Dixon and Cierre Wood

To make room for Herron on the roster, TE MarQueis Gray was placed on the injured reserve.
