GM Doug Whaley continues to work on the the Buffalo Bills roster after going 2-2 to open the season. Today the Bills announced they have released WR Marcus Thigpen and K Jordan Gay to make room for two new additions: WR Denarius Moore and former Pro Bowl K Billy Cundiff.
Moore had a promising rookie season with the Oakland Raiders, but amid coaching and front office changes his career hasn't taken off from there. He was most recently with the Cincinnati Bengals this summer before being cut in August.
Veteran and 2010 Pro-Bowl kicker Billy Cundiff, 35, is now on his 14th NFL team. Cundiff is apparently on the roster as a result of some missed opportunities by Dan Carpenter. Kickers across the league have had rough beginnings this season, in part a result of the changed extra point rules.
