The Buffalo Bills have asked former punter Brian Moorman to Lead the Charge on Sunday when the Bills take on the Miami Dolphins. Moorman was Buffalo's punter from 2001 to early in the 2013 season. He returned in 2014 for 11 games.
Of Moorman's 979 punts, 923 came as a member of the Bills. He finished his career averaging 43.8 yards per punt. Moorman finished his career with 281 punts landing inside the 20 yard yard line. His career long, an 84 yard punt, came in 2002.
During his time with the Bills, Moorman established the PUNT Foundation in 2004. The PUNT Foundation's mission is found on the official website:
"The mission of the P.U.N.T. Foundation is to provide children affected by cancer and their families with the opportunities and support to enjoy the life for which they fight so hard. The Foundation provides assistance, valuable family-centered programs and events designed to enrich their lives, provide them with support and create memorable experiences."
Moorman is a tremendous choice to 'Lead the Charge' on Sunday for everything he did on the field for the Bills and everything he continues to do off the field for children in Western New York.
