Rex Ryan says Geno Smith-Puncher IK Enemkpali will serve as a captain for the Buffalo Bills on Thursday Night Football

Rex Ryan confirmed that IK Enemkpali will serve as one of Buffalo's team captains on Thursday Night Football against the Jets.

It's a move that Buffalo Bills fans had to see coming but Rex Ryan confirmed it on Monday. I.K. Enemkpali will serve as one of Buffalo's team captains on Thursday Night Football.

Enemkpali played for the NY Jets in 2014 but was released by New York during training camp after he punched Geno Smith and broke his jaw. The altercation was over $600 that Smith owed Enemkpali. Ryan said the following to the media when asked if he'd make Enemkpali a captain:

"Yeah," Ryan said. "I get ripped ... I do this all the time. Anybody that's played you're going to see. Will Mulligan be out there? Yep, he'll be out there. For them, you put them out there, you recognize their teammates and all that, their former teammates."

There's no telling who else will join Enemkpali and Matthew Mulligan, but Ryan naming both of them as captains should come as no surprise to Bills or Jets fans.
