Rex Ryan admitted on Thursday that the Bills aren't going to win the AFC East

Rex Ryan understands that it's highly unlikely that the Patriots will lose four or more games this season.

Rex Ryan isn't conceding this week's Monday Night Football game to the New England Patriots, but he did admit that the AFC East once again belongs to the Patriots. On Thursday, Ryan was asked by the media if he thought that the Buffalo Bills could catch up to New England in the standings. Ryan took a realistic approach in his response:

“Right now we’re second in the division,” Ryan said. “We’re gonna do whatever we can. Does that give us the opportunity to win the division? No. They’re gonna win the division. I don’t see them losing four games. I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t see it happening.”

Ryan probably hated to admit that the Patriots would once again win the AFC East, but as he mentioned, it's highly unrealistic to believe that New England will lose four or more games this year. That said, Ryan said that his main focus is on beating the Patriots on Monday Night Football.

“No, I’m just telling you the facts. The only thing I’m focusing on is beating them right now, on Monday night. And we ain’t conceding that, I promise you,” Ryan said.

If the Bills and Ryan can pull off the upset over the Patriots on Monday Night Football, it will certainly help Buffalo's chances in the Wild Card race. If that happens, Ryan would be more than happy to go head-to-head with the Patriots for a third time in the playoffs.
