The Buffalo Bills defense was outstanding in 2014 under Jim Schwartz. Last year, the Bills finished the season as the No. 4 defense in the NFL. This hasn't been the case in 2015 with Rex Ryan and Dennis Thurman and according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, some Buffalo Bills players wish Schwartz was still their coach.
The news is not surprising as many players who performed well under Schwartz have struggled in Rex Ryan's defense. Mario Williams, Kyle Williams, Nigel Bradham and Preston Brown are just a few players who have struggled this season after playing well for Schwartz.
Based on recent moves, look for the Bills to transition to a true 3-4 defense in 2016. This could lead to quite an overhaul on the defensive side of the ball and perhaps some of the players who wish they still played under Schwartz will get the opportunity to do so elsewhere next season.
