Buffalo Bills/Washington Redskins Halftime Thoughts

It was a painful first half if you're a Bills fan.

The Buffalo Bills trail the Washington Redskins 21-0 at halftime and the team's performance was ugly.

On offense, the team cannot get anything going. This is mostly due to the inept play of the offensive line. The line has appeared to mail it in at halftime. Tyrod Taylor has had no time to look down field and he's been running for his life in the first half. Taylor has been sacked three times and has run for 52 yards at the half. The Bills QB only has 27 yards passing on 3-of-8 passing.

Defensively, things have been even worse. The Bills have let the Redskins march down the field on them throughout the game. Kirk Cousins has completed 14 of 17 passes with two touchdowns at halftime. Jordan Reed has recorded both receiving touchdowns and has 74 yards receiving. A Cousins 13 yard run gave the Redskins their third score.

Even special teams has been a mess. Colton Schmidt had a few poor punts, including one where he dropped the ball and nearly missed the kick. As for the return unit, the team hasn't been able to open any lanes for Marcus Thigpen.

A loss eliminates the Bills from the postseason and right now it appears they're well on their way to their eighth loss of the season.
