According to Rex Ryan the Buffalo Bills have four Pro Bowl alternates. At his Wednesday press conference with the media, Ryan revealed that QB Tyrod Taylor, offensive guard Richie Incognito, center Eric Wood and defensive tackle Marcell Dareus are all alternates to the 2016 Pro Bowl squad.
If Taylor makes it to the Pro Bowl he'd be the first Bills quarterback since Drew Bledsoe was named to the 2003 Pro Bowl. Taylor has thrown for 2,674 yards and 20 touchdowns in 12 games this season, while only throwing five interceptions.
Incognito was without a doubt Buffalo's biggest Pro Bowl snub so he is certainly deserving of the honor. Wood has also had a solid season. He's bounced back from a 2014 campaign that was perhaps the worst season of his career.
Last, Dareus hasn't made many splashy plays this season but he's been one of the best defensive tackles in the league against the run. He has 46 tackles and two sacks this season.
Unfortunately, Ryan did not list Ronald Darby as a Pro Bowl alternate. The rookie cornerback was certainly deserving of the honor.
