Bills place Charles Clay and Ron Brooks on the injured reserve

Buffalo added two players to the IR on Tuesday

The Buffalo Bills placed Charles Clay and Ron Brooks on the injured reserve on Tuesday. Vic Carucci of The Buffalo News was the first to report the news.

Clay signed a five year, $38 million contract with the Bills in the offseason. The tight end finishes his first season with Buffalo with 51 receptions, 528 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games. Clay missed the last two weeks with a back injury before the Bills placed him on the IR tonight.

Brooks suffered a neck injury that kept him out of action in Week 14 and 15. He returned to action on Sunday against the Cowboys and played 33 snaps. Hopefully rookie Ronald Darby will be able to play on Sunday for Buffalo. Brooks' move to the injured reserve leaves Buffalo thin at cornerback. Leodis McKelvinNickell Robey and Mario Butler, Buffalo's three healthy corners, will all see significant playing time on Sunday.

The NY Jets will be facing a short-handed Bills team on Sunday with the opportunity to make the playoffs.
