The Buffalo Bills owners issued a statement letting fans know that Doug Whaley and Rex Ryan are safe as GM and head coach.
The Pegulas, owners of the Buffalo Bills, issued a statement on Wednesday supporting head coach Rex Ryan and general manager Doug Whaley.
While the news should not come as a surprise to Bills fans, it was a smart move for the Bills to issue a statement now so that there would not be any speculation after Sunday's Week 17 game.
Although the Bills fell short of expectations in year one under Ryan, there are some positives that have some out of the season such as the emergence of Tyrod Taylor and the outstanding play of rookie cornerback Ronald Darby.
Whaley and Ryan will spend the offseason looking for players to fix Buffalo's defense, as well as find a way to bring back free agents like Cordy Glenn and Richie Incognito.
