Ronald Darby is expected to play vs. the Jets on Sunday

The Bills received some good news on Friday as Rex Ryan says he believes Ronald Darby will be able to play vs. the Jets.

Buffalo Bills fans received some good news on Friday. Rookie cornerback Ronald Darby is expected to play on Sunday against the NY Jets.

Buffalo will be without Stephon Gilmore and Ron Brooks on Sunday, so Buffalo's top four cornerbacks will be Darby, Leodis McKelvinNickell Robey and Mario Butler. The Bills also promoted two cornerbacks from their practice squad this week: Merrill Noel and Sammy Seamster. The Jets are likely to run quite a few plays with four receivers on the field so Buffalo will need their cornerbacks to play at a high level.

In their first matchup against the Jets, no cornerback played at a higher level than Darby. When lined up against Brandon Marshall, the Jets No. 1 receiver, Darby held the receiver to one reception for negative two yards on three targets. To sweep the Jets in 2015, Buffalo will need Darby to lock down Marshall and company on Sunday.
