Fred Jackson was once considered the heart and soul of the Buffalo Bills. Due to Jackson's popularity with the team, there was quite an uproar when the Bills released Jackson before the start of the season. It seems as though the move worked out for both parties.
Buffalo finished the season first in rushing thanks to backs such as LeSean McCoy, Karlos Williams and Mike Gillislee. All three had better seasons than Jackson and going forward the Bills have a dynamic trio. As for Jackson, the running back landed with the Seattle Seahawks. Jackson wasn't much of a factor for the Seahawks this season in the run game. He finished the regular season with 100 yards rushing on 26 carries, but did add 257 yards and two touchdowns receiving in 16 games. Most importantly, Jackson was able to make the playoffs for the first time in his career.
Throughout the week, Bills fans have wished Jackson well before his playoff debut and the back took to Twitter following Seattle's 10-9 win over the Vikings to thank Seahawks and Bills fans.
Jackson finished Sunday's game with two yards rushing on one carry and 19 yards receiving on two receptions. Although Jackson wasn't much of a factor in the game, his Seahawks left the field with a victory. There's no doubt that many Bills fans, known as the Bills Mafia, will continue to root for Jackson and the Seahawks going forward.
