Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams answered just about every question thrown his way on Monday night. During his question and answer session, Williams was asked if Ben Roethlisberger was the toughest player in the NFL. While there's no questioning Roethlisberger's toughness, Williams instead listed Marcell Dareus as one of the NFL's toughest players.
Williams said that Dareus playing on a broken leg made him one of the NFL's toughest guys. The Buffalo Bills defensive tackle didn't actually play on a broken leg this season but Williams was close. In Week 17, Dareus broke his left foot against the NY Jets and played through the pain. Dareus revealed the injury one day after the game on Instagram.
Even with a broken foot, Dareus was able to hit quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick late in the game which led to a floating pass that was intercepted by Manny Lawson. Although Williams didn't quite get the injury correct, he was right about Dareus being one of the NFL's toughest players.
