Pro Football Focus gave out superlative awards on Wednesday and one Buffalo Bills player was honored. Bills safety Corey Graham was named PFF’s best tackler, beating out Seattle Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright. This is what PFF said about Graham:
“Graham had only three missed tackles on 104 attempts, one every 35.7 attempts. It was the best rate among linebackers and safeties.”
According to NFL.com, Graham had 127 total tackles and one sack this season in 16 games. Although Graham proved to be a sure tackler in 2015 his play regressed. It’s possible that the Western New York native could be a cap casualty in 2016.
Next season, Graham will have a cap hit of $4,675,000 according to Spotrac.com. If the Bills were to cut Graham, he’d free up $2.675 million in additional cap space. Safety is one of Buffalo’s biggest question marks heading into 2016 so it’ll be interesting to see what the Bills do with Graham going forward.null
