Eric Berry won Madden Bowl XXII using the Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills won a virtual championship this weekend.

The Buffalo Bills won the (virtual) Big Game!

Madden Bowl XXII was held on Thursday night and the tournament went early into Friday morning. In the finals, Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry faced off against Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed.

Reed ended up playing as the New England Patriots, while Berry decided to circle the wagons with the Bills. It was a close contest and with about 1:30 left in the game, Berry was able to take the lead on a Karlos Williams touchdown.

After stopping Reed on the next series, Berry added a field goal and ended up winning the game by a final score of 24-17. Berry was awarded the Madden Bowl trophy shortly thereafter.

Berry is set to hit the free agent market on March 9, but it's doubtful that the safety joins his Madden team of choice. Although the Bills could certainly use a safety of Berry's caliber, it's unlikely that Buffalo will be a player for any big name free agents.
