Happy Anniversary, Richie Incognito.
One year ago today, Incognito signed a contract to join the Buffalo Bills. It turned out to be one of the best value signings in the NFL last season. Incognito was dominant throughout the season, especially in run blocking, and the left guard's ability to open running lanes helped Buffalo finish the season first in rushing. Incognito's season concluded last week in Hawaii at the Pro Bowl. This morning, Incognito talked about his anniversary with the team on Twitter.
This isn't the first time that Incognito has stated his desire to return to Buffalo and the feeling is certainly mutual from the team's standpoint. If any deal is a slam dunk to get done this offseason, it's Incognito coming back to the Bills.
Once the Bills free up some money by releasing a highly-paid defensive end, Incognito's deal will get done. For now, Incognito will have to 'wait' for his deal and as Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have sang, "the waiting is the hardest part."
