Justin Bailey of the Buffalo Sabres has ties to the Buffalo Bills

Bailey is expected to debut with the Buffalo Sabres tonight.

Justin Bailey was recalled by the Buffalo Sabres and he'll reportedly take the ice tonight in his NHL debut. The forward has ties to the Buffalo Bills as his father, Calton Bailey, was once a linebacker with the team.

Carlton Bailey played with the Bills from 1988-1992. Perhaps the most famous play of his career came in the AFC Championship Game in 1992 against the Denver Broncos. Bailey intercepted a John Elway pass and returned it for a touchdown. It was the only touchdown scored that day as the Bills eeked out a 10-7 win over Denver on their way to Super Bowl XXVI.

His son, Justin, has been on a tear in the AHL. In his last eight games with the Rochester Americans, Bailey has 11 points (5G, 6A). Bailey was drafted by the Sabres with the 52nd pick of the 2013 NHL draft.
