The Buffalo Bills aren't expected to be major players in free agency due to their cap situation. However, Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports believes that the team is going to, at the minimum, "nose around" free agent linebacker Junior Galette.
When talking with Chris Russell of 106.7 The Fan, Garafolo said the following about Galette and the Bills:
“Here’s what I do know: The Buffalo Bills have Rob Ryan on their staff and Rob Ryan has been vouching for Galette as a pass-rusher, as a guy who can — if healthy — create some havoc,” Garafolo told 106.7 The Fan’s Chris Russell. “I do expect the Buffalo Bills to at least nose around Junior Galette come the start of the negotiating period on March 7.”
Garafolo continued, “That’s my hunch for a team that would be in play. Now, whether they’re able to pony up the bucks, and again, they do not have a lot of salary cap room,” Garafolo said. “I don’t see it as an aggressive play, but you’re dealing with a guy who’s got character issues and, again, coming off an injury, coming off a pretty serious injury, so I don’t know that any team’s really going to throw a ton of money at him.”
The linebacker thrived in his two seasons under Ryan. Before Ryan's arrival in New Orleans, Galette recorded 43 tackles, 9.5 sacks, and one forced fumble in 32 games (2010-2012). In 2013 and 2014, Galette broke out with 85 total tackles, 22 sacks, four forced fumbles, four passes defensed, and two safeties.
Both Ryan brothers believe in second chances so it's very possible that Buffalo pursues Galette if the price is right.
