Buffalo Bills GM Doug Whaley was impressed with QB Jared Goff.

Goff isn't expected to be on the board when the Bills draft but stranger things could happen.

Jared Goff is in play to be the first quarterback selected in the 2016 NFL draft. On Friday, Goff and the California Golden Bears held their Pro Day. Buffalo Bills GM Doug Whaley was in attendance and he left impressed by the quarterback. Whaley joined SiriusXM NFL Radio and praised the Cal QB.

Goff completed 61-of-69 scripted passes on Friday. Although most people expect Buffalo to address their defense in the first round of the draft, Buffalo could surprise the league by selecting a quarterback early. Despite having Tyrod Taylor, the Bills have let it be known that they plan to select a quarterback in the draft. If the team feels they can get a franchise quarterback, such as Goff, in the first round, Whaley and the Bills could pull the trigger.
