Buffalo Bills 35th overall picks, 35 days from the 2016 NFL draft

A four time Pro Bowl QB who opted for the NFL over the AFL.

The 2016 NFL draft is 35 days away. Who have the Buffalo Bills drafted at pick 35?

Buffalo has drafted one player at pick 35. Here’s a look at the former Bills draft pick.

Norm Snead, QB, Wake Forest (1961)

Snead had a long professional career, but none of his career took place with Buffalo. While the Bills attempted to draft Snead 35 overall in the 1961 AFL draft, the quarterback was the second overall pick of the Washington Redskins in the 1961 NFL draft.

Snead made the Pro Bowl twice in his first three seasons and made four appearances overall. In his career, he spent time with Washington, Philadelphia, Minnesota, New York (Giants), and San Francisco. He was famously traded to Philadelphia in exchange for Sonny Jurgensen.

Although many quarterbacks have posted a QB rating of zero since Snead, he was the last QB to record a win with a zero passer rating. In 1976, Snead completed 3-of-14 passes for 26 yards and two interceptions in a 12-9 win.

Snead played until 1976. His career quarterback record was 52-99-7 and he threw for 30,797 yards, 196 touchdowns, and 257 interceptions from 1961-1976. He was added to the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame in 1984.
