Buffalo Bills attend Southern Miss Pro

Mike Thomas is Southern Mississippi's top draft prospect.

The Buffalo Bills are making the rounds at college pro days and today the team is in attendance at Southern Miss

Southern Mississippi's top draft prospect is wide receiver Mike Thomas. The 6'1" wide receiver is viewed as a day three prospect in the draft. On Thursday, Thomas ran a 4.53 40-yard dash on his second attempt after running a 4.4 40-yard dash on his first attempt.

In addition to his fast 40 times, Thomas also displayed a vertical of 36 inches.

Buffalo's scout in attendance was apparently very impressed with Thomas.

The Bills are holding an open competition behind Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods. A player like Thomas, projected as a sixth round pick, could come in and compete against the likes of Greg Salas, Marquise Goodwin, Jarrett Boykin, Greg Little, Dezmin Lewis, and others for a roster spot.

In addition to Thomas, cornerback Kalan Reed could be targeted late in the draft. If he goes undrafted, Reed would be a high priority UDFA. On Thursday, he ran a 4.38 40-yard dash.
