Leonard Hankerson signs one-year deal with Buffalo Bills

Leonard Hankerson has signed a one-year deal with the Bills.

A few days back, Buffalo Bills GM Doug Whaley told John Murphy that the team was "really close" to re-signing wide receiver Leonard Hankerson. On Thursday night, Hankerson gave a shout-out to the Bills fanbase, indicating that he had re-signed with Buffalo.

Shortly after the shout-out, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network announced that Hankerson had agreed to a one-year deal with Buffalo.

Hankerson spent the end of the 2015 season with the Bills but did not record any stats during his time with the team. In addition to his short tenure with the Bills, Hankerson has played with the Washington RedskinsAtlanta Falcons, and New England Patriots.

The wide receiver has 107 career receptions, 1,408 yards, and nine career touchdowns.

Hankerson's signing makes him the tenth wide receiver on Buffalo's roster. That number could increase in the next week or two when Percy Harvin makes a decision on playing in 2016.
