Rob Ryan's exact role on the Buffalo Bills? It's a secret.

Rex Ryan won't say what Rob Ryan will do with the Bills.

When Rob Ryan joined the Buffalo Bills, he was given the title Assistant head coach/Defense. At the time of the hire, Rex Ryan said the following:

“I'm excited to have Rob join our staff and I think he will be a great asset for our defense. He has a tremendous working knowledge of our schemes and I look forward to his input,” said Head Coach Rex Ryan. “On a personal note, it's been a number of years since we have worked together and so we are both really looking forward to this opportunity.”

Rex's statement and Rob's official title are rather vague. Recently, it was speculated that Rob would work with inside linebacker Preston Brown, but that has not been confirmed. So what is Rob's exact role going to be in 2016? No one really knows and Rex Ryan wouldn't tell Steve Wyche when asked.

If Rob truly makes a "huge impact" with the defense, Bills fans won't care what the Assistant head coach/Defense does on a daily or weekly basis.
